That's a tough choice between My BSA Internationals MK111 &MK ll, Anschutz 2007, Walther UIT Super, Remington 40X & Vudoo V22s. However if I could only have one it would be the Remington 40X
For me the best rimfire target rifle ever made is the Remington 37. I own many target rifles but always seem to come back to shooting my 37's.
This is how I would rank them for myself.
1) Remington 37
2) Remington 40-XB
3) Anschutz 1813
4) Walther KKM
5) Winchester 52C
6) Vudoo
For .22 pistols it would be:
1) High Standard 10X
2) High Standard Victor
3) High Standard Trophy
4) Smith & Wesson 41
5) Ruger MKII target
6) Smith & Wesson K22 or Model 17 triple T
7) Colt Officer Model Match
This is how I would rank them for myself.

Currently my favorite is my Vudoo 360 because it's just so damn accurate. It's so satisfying to hit what I aim at with such regularity. But it's heavy ...
I could see a plinker being my most favorite, but I'm a lefty. If I could find a stainless Tikka T1x left-handed, I think I might like that even a touch better than a lefty CZ 457 (very close race) but lefty models of both are harder to find than unicorn farts. I haven't entertained the idea of an Anshutz mostly due to cost, but I'd love to try one.
I wish I hadn't sold my old Marlin Model 60 I grew up with.

Shot alot of different 22's. My favorite is my Anschutz 64R in 1907 stock that I modified to fit more like a MSR stock.

One of my favorites today is my BMR. I have owned a lot of rimfire rifles everything from very cheap junk to very high dollar immaculately built precision rifles. This BMR is the most accurate 22 rifle I have ever owned. It never malfunctions in any way. And after doing the trigger mod the trigger suits me just fine. And one amazing thing about this gun is how well it shoots junk ammo at 50 yards. It shoots Federal auto match more than good enough to do any sort of hunting or plinking. It shoots tac 22 so well at 50 yards that I no longer use any high dollar ammo in it that range. Of course at longer ranges it has to have better ammo to be precise. And I'm also aware they're not every BMR that they've ever made is like mine but I love mine.
I’m down to 3 rifles and I like them all:
- CZ 455 w/ mannlicher stock and M1 Garand style iron sights.
- CZ 455 Varmint, loves Center X
- 10/22 ….. only Ruger part is the receiver, Kidd trigger and Green Mountain barrel, silly accurate 1/2MOA w/ SK Semiauto

The OP said favorite, not most accurate. So I must answer a bit differently from the rest of you.
It would have to be my Nylon 66. The thing is just so darn much fun, so light, and for an old gal she shoots darn well.
Currently lusting after one of the Dasiy rimfires, yes they did make rimfire years ago. I think those would be great as well, but prices on them are going nutz, should have bought one years ago.

I think an Honorable Mention should go to the WZ-48. A polish 22RF trainer that looks like you tossed a Mosin Nagant in the dryer wet. Introduced in, you guessed it 1948.
I have a couple "trainers" of that era, German, US, hunting a French example.....but the polish is just different. Crude?.......well yea. But there is just something that does not add up with it. It should not be as much fun as it is. While I never "shot groups" with it, not sure why.....but I can ding my 8" plate all day long at 100 yards with it, and hit the smaller ones when I get "lucky". There is just something fun about it. Looks, action, weight.....no idea, but it is just a really interesting gun.
I really think it is just the way I am wired, I like the old, the odd, the stuff that no one else likes I drift to. I want the different.

I have a Tikka T1x and a CZ 457 Lux. I'd probably have to say whatever I get my hands on that can chamber a round smoother than butter. Both mine are set up completely different. The 457 is just a really nice iron sight plinker but thus far, it's probably my favorite.

Being a poor man, I don't have any high end 22lr rifles. Mine are either Savage or Marlin rifles.
My favorite for plinking is my old Marlin Model 99M1 with its original rear sight. It brings back a lot of memories and is just plain fun. And I mention the rear sight since those are usually missing and can cost as much as the rifle is worth.
Another favorite that also brings back memories is my old single shot Savage/Springfield Model 120. It is rough looking but very accurate. It is what I used to teach both of my boys to shoot with.
For inexpensive yet accurate rimfire bolt actions, I do like my Savage MkII rifles with their heavy varmint barrels. I have the BTVLSS in 22lr and a GVL in 17m2.
And here lately I have been shooting my AR22 with a heavy CCMG barrel. It does quite well with CCI Standard ammo out to 100 yards. I haven't pushed out farther yet. And it is setup just like my AR in 6mm ARC.
I also like my Kel-Tec CMR30 22WMR. It is far from he most accurate but it is fun to blast clay birds with out to 100 yards. And a bonus is watching people's faces as they wait for me to stop for a reload.

On Saturday I set the new course record of 47/48 with my ole Anschutz 1827F. Originally I had scope mount problems which have been fixed and I also glass bedded it.
Back when Jbells 6x5 started I got .26? average at 50Y.
Won more than a few NRL22 matches with it years ago before the advent of the 20lb rigs came about.

The production of the rifles was until very recently non-standard and available in such limited quantities this is perhaps not suprising. You've probably seen this review already, but found it of general interest to anyone looking at the fortner actions, since it details the engineering and production of them. Short story is these are very, very small-scale production units.

I'd like a mini centerfire version of a 1727 in a tiny cartridge of 20 caliber to reload for to get the SD's down into the mid single digits! That'd be the ultimate small rifle and tiny cartridge combo right there!
Personally I hate seeing those huge flyers in the vertical at 300Y with my rimfires. Maybe if they made a match grade 20 caliber rimfire ammo my mind could be changed but....

Anschutz 1710 HB. Before I got it last year, my all-time favorite was my Rem 541-S.
I got a couple old Marlin 80DL's from back when they made them with no scope rail mount. I shoot them using
Peep Sights - and they are by far my favorites. They are from a time when a .22 Rimfire Rifle was made the same
as a full scale High Power Hunting Rifle. They are a joy to shoot and a piece of yesterday's forever gone history...

Love my 77-22 allweather.
A few years ago everyone made a drop in barrel, some still do, 2 allen bolts and you're done.
Trigger takes 10 minutes tops to get it under 2lbs and mine is at 14 oz, no parts required.
It takes 10-22 mags which are everywhere and cheap, the ruger 25 rounders are very good mags.
The bolt is smooth as hell and you can rack it very quickly.
I have a Lilja and a Green Mountain barrel along with the stock one, all 3 shoot very well.
It's small and light even with a heavy barrel.
You can get a killer stock from http://rifle-stocks.com/actions_available.htm and make it your bitch, finish it however, ask them to leave extra material in certain spots and make it however.

I sold one locally about 6 months ago, it had been hunted with a lot but still in decent shape, I was able to get 750.00 out of it pretty quick which I believe is about twice what it cost brand new.
They have definitely appreciated. I've got two and both have aftermarket barrels. One with a very rare VQ carbon fiber barrel.

Mine had just been sitting in the safe, I don't hunt anymore so I decided to cash it in, put that money in on a used vudoo barreled action.
I think you got f'd. The local gun show this weekend had 7 of them. Average price was $1400 with the top ticket being $1600.
Wanted to walk up to the table owner...
I am going next weekend, not planning on buying anything but people watching is fun. I do hope someone there is selling surplus pants. They are great for working in the yard or shop.

I hope my new favorite will be my Mod 06 Winchester once the new liner is in it and she's all cerakoted and wearing a can. Should be a lot of fun if it shoots. I know it won't shoot like I really want but if it's reasonably accurate I will be happy. It's so quiet already with a can it should be very quiet.
I have 2 from the list, T1x and B14r. I like them both a lot. I also have a 541T ( first higher end 22lr) and a 1416HB. I like them all, I have always liked shooting 22's. From my very first gun, a Marlin m60, and a bunch of handguns also. I couldn't pick just one.

Is the the 54.18 BR50?
And is that scope mount compatible with a new 64 action? If so who makes it? That set looks amazing.

If you’re referring to the pic rail, AI made it to mate up with the ATX chassis. The scope rings are Kelblys. No it won’t work with the 64.
That is the 54.18 with the 25” barrel and the other offering is the 20” threaded barrel with a .900 straight taper.
