The SCR is very nice, personally I like it better than the other offerings in the XTRII line. It is still very fine at max power, and not to busy so that at the lowest power the strata looks like a duplex and does not get lost in the extra hold-offs, like on some of the Horus styled (x-mass trees) reticle offerings. Of course as pointed out, that is not an issue either with a Horus styled ret in SPF.
Don't know an don't care as all my SFP scope are 10X max save one thats 20X. They are either at 3.5 at the double point or max an I can tell which just by looking threw them. If I could get a scope that only had 2 power settings I'd have one. I've never been lacking for power out to 1300 yds with the 10X's at all. Until I get past 400, 3.5X does everything I need done if I need more I go directly to 10x. The doubler stop I built comes in when shooting subsonics to 400yds as some sub matches I shoot do not allow knob'ing anything. Many guys have tried FFP scopes an found they are not the be all some would have every one to believe.
I totally get niche things like your blackout or my PCP.. not really the same for the Ops use.
Yep, get the helmet mounted, traditional L3 tubed isssued PVS14; but several companies now use that designation. One is my customer, they produces a clip on version - not the same but good enough for my current issues.
Yes, again it is not the same as the issues stuff but does work ok. In my case, mounting is an issue on my FX.
Don’t know how PC it would be to add the details of my customer but they offer a bit better than “their” 14 as a clip on.
I want to be careful what I say as some of the products I might not be able to endorse.
Interesting. Wonder what the accuracy is like with a non collimated pvs-14. I'd assume not great.

Your questions along with some of the posts from others on the hide, show that the “hide” still has it.
Anyway, that was my POA/POI concern too. The systems I shot had almost no discernible POI shift between day and night.
All that said, I still need to be concerned what I say. Hope that makes sense.
Not a niche thing at all, an I have no use for a 300bo. They all set on either a .223 .308 , 300wm or 338lm that I cast an load subs for. I don't own an will not own a stick that will not do it all. Hunting, steel, paper, or other things each one is up to any task that needs to be done.

Nope, some comps require you to quietly tag a simulated sentry before engaging the other targets. No can or subs for the gun your running, your out of luck. If bullets ever dry up it will not effect those who cast at all, as cast projos can be run at about 85-90% of jacketed speeds w/o issue.

No, I just figured anyone casting in those cals, would not truely be complete without high power, reliable mobile coms.

Update:
Talked to a guy at my customers. I asked him if their unit used an adapter/special setting or how it worked in front of the scope. Durning that conversation, he clarified his earlier statement. Long story short, the front of scope unit does have it’s own part number. With that, I am just assuming he misspoke the first time.
I have to go back when I have time and speak to a engineer instead of someone from procurement.
FFP, and check out K&M precision rifle training in finger TN. Shannon and Mike can train you to be competitive in a few short days.... then practice practice and practice some more... the ffp is easy to Calc distance when you have to engage at unknown distances. The Khales SKMR is an awesome scope that won't breat the bank...
