I decided to buy a DPMS LR260, but had to take it apart and customize it a bit. I made myself a custom 16" handguard, made the gas block adjustable, threaded the barrel, and of course a little Duracoat. The handguard is larger at the receiver end due to the size of the barrel nut, but is tapered down after 3" to the same 2" OD and 1.75" ID as a standard AR15 handguard. Still waiting on the Geissele SSA-E to get here in a few days. Brake is a Harrell's tactical 4 port. Can is a form 1. SS scope is mounted with an Armalite rail extension riser and Burris Signature rings.

Re: Finally got my .260 project together

My first .260 Rem was a DPMS. I sold it and had GA Precision build me one with a Bartlein CNC cut-rifled barrel, at 22", with a chamber optimized for VLD's.

I like what you did with the furniture, and overall look of the stick.

How does it shoot?

Great look to your rifle. I have a bolt rifle stock painted in similar Duracoat colors and patterns and love it.

Have you shot it yet?

I'm in the process of checking out my options for a 6.5 something for my 308 AR. Very interested in hearing of your results.
