I recently got back my first custom built rifle. I'm very excited. It was built by Selkirk Mountain Precision Gunsmithing in north Idaho. It's a Gunwerks GRB action. Bartlein 24" bull sporter countour 1-8" twist 5R barrel with spiral fluting. Piercision mini mag 3 port brake. Triggertech Special flat trigger. Grayboe Terrain stock, epoxy bedded, with Grayboe DBM. Magpul bipod on an Area 419 bipod rail. Leupold MK5HD 3.6-18 scope with Leupold rings. Barrel, brake, action, and bolt handle are all cerakoted flat black, bolt body is NP3'd. I'm working up two different loads for it. Nosler 175ABLR's over RL26 for longer range target shooting and hunting past 300 meters. Inside of 300 meters I'm doing a load with Barnes 140 TTSX's over StaBall 6.5. Using Petersen brass for both. The group pictured is with 59.1 grains of RL26 sending 175ABLR's 2774, and 2773 fps. I think thats a node worth looking into. I'd like more speed, but with that consistency and accuracy I don't think an elk would know the difference. Haven't found a node yet for the 140 TTSX's as I don't think I had a proper case fill with the StaBall. All in all, I'm very pleased with this rifle!

Why the two different loads based on distance? Just shoot the 175, don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be
Well, I've already got 250 of the 140 TTSX's, and up where I live its not out of the ordinary to have shots inside of 50 meters. I worry about the ABLR coming apart at shorter ranges like that. And I like the load development process, and I've got the powder and primers to support it. I need to get more of the 175 ABLR's though.

I'm gonna work more load development on it when I get home in a month. I'm really hoping to get up around 2900fps with the 175's. There is a pretty decent amount of room left in the case still. I had the barrel throated for a longer round with a COAL of 3.4". We will see what we can get out of it so long as the accuracy is at least as good as I'm getting now.
I’m guessing you probably have a lot of speed yet available with the 175’s.
I run more R26 than that with 190’s in my 7 saum with is almost identical in case capacity
