Fieldcraft first ghillie

hi this is my first ghillie, it was made for australian bush. i only made the top half but i will be making to bottom soon. please give your oppinion any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

You have to host the pictures on a Website like Photobucket or Imageshack and then you the link they give you.

Waaaaay too much jute! I don't know what Australian bush looks like...only American

but it looks a little dark to me. Though, if it blends well where you'll be using it, I bet it's fine.

The jute is supposed to help break up the human form, not be the camouflage itself...unless you're stalking through a field of dark shredded burlap. By attaching the natural vegetation from your AO, the jute/ghillie will aid in the camouflaging effect. Good luck...oh, and get it dirty...really dirty.

too 'dense' mate.
I've made 3 ghillies (and helped mates with countless others). one thing you'll notice is that even deep victorian highlands bush is nowhere near as 'dense' as anything you'll find in the US and Europe.

Use alot more 'flat' peices of fabric (old DPCU uniforms are the best). and tonnes of Scrim.

Way to much burlap. Roll around in the mud with it a few times and don't clean it.
