First post outside of the obligatory introduction.

Been shooting under a year at my local club that maxes out centerfire at 200 yrds.
Had a short hiatus and wanted to confirm setup/zero/dope at 100 yards and compare some 6.5 CM "budget" ammunition at 200yrds. I like to go to the range with a goal in mind and working to be more disciplined during range days as I get up to speed with the hobby/sport. To that end, I have developed these summary sheets as a snapshot of the session.

Not a comprehensive analysis but at least I have confidence in the S&B rounds which are about $10/box around here.

I have shot the S&B out of four rifles and it shot MOA out of all four. Crazy, we took it out to 1,300 yards. The BC is atrocious, but just dial up and go for it. The bullet looks like a damn 30-30 round nose. But it shoots. The H-American Gunner does just as well, slightly more expensive.

Seems S&B has improved their QC fairly significantly lately. Wonder if anyone has experience stretching out farther with this 140gr FMJ.
And stretching it out may be the kicker. If the bc isn’t the best and the velocity is on the slow side, it may not do the best out in the wind at distance. But, nothing wrong with using it in close for fundamentals and such. You have a nice rifle, don’t be afraid to feed it high quality ammo.

Thanks for the advice. I'll need to locate the H-American Gunner. Unfortunately, not a lot of options in my area for 6.5. I'll make a drive up to NH to see whats available there.
