I am going to be purchasing my first suppressor in the next couple of weeks. I am in N.Y. and just found out I can own one because of my job. Not much of a budget available to me so I am looking for recommendations. I have already decided on a 30 cal can so that I can use it on the majority of my rifles. What brands are available and worthy of a precision rifle, hopefully around the 700 or so Mark.

Dead air would be my first look but I would wait until after shot show to see what new cans are coming out some older models might get blown out at significant savings.

I have a Sico hybrid and it suprisingly sounds good and is a decent Jack of all trades master of none type can.

Whatever you do put the can in a trust that way if you lose the job you can add me as a trustee and I will watch over it for you for free:)

*Also don't forget most can companies have big leo/Mil discount programs*

Leaning towards the nomad 30. The next question would be direct thread or qd? I'm concerned about the possibility of messing up the can threads when going back and forth between guns. Is that common or just a matter of paying attention to doing it right? Also are adapters available for 1/2x28 to 5/8x24?

QD all way keymo is the best qd system I have used to date. Accuracy is the same for me with qd or direct thread using the same can so unless you are just trying to save money dead airs qd system is a no brainier.
