Offshore fishing here in CA is starting to ramp up now. Maybe we will see some photos of good catches here this year.

I've heard stories of 25-26 pound rainbows in some of the remote lakes up on the Mesa near were I live.
There's only around 400 lakes up there so I will be getting an area map and checking them off one at a time this summer.
Gonna need a new pair of boots I think.

Only caught one fish this year, a dink smallie on the Buffalo National River, but he smashed my fly on the swing on a Sunday evening after heavy fishing pressure and crazy rain. Didn’t get a pic, phone was in the car. Gonna go back out here pretty soon.
