In 1974, the man who would be my second step-father (formerly Marine Force Recon) had a sound system that played quadraphonic to take advantage of the 8-track cassettes that were recorded in 4 channels of sound. Which was not many. But it was cool.

Quadeo was short lived for good reason. Even today its had a small resurgence and most try it and then go ohh forget it

Buying dynamite at the hardware store.
We still have ammo at out local one, but it dwindles.
Going into a sporting goods to buy a surplus m1 garand for 129$, an sks for 59$ or an ak for 99$.
Later in life- french toast minis cereal.
Now I just miss pride for our country- rather than "pride" everything else.
