For M1A owners, SADLAK rocks!

Just wanted to give a shout to Sadlak, and the unbelievable parts they put out. If you're a new M1A owner, it's a company to file away if you ever need some parts, cleaning supplies, or little M1A "knick knacks". Seriously, their parts are at least 5x's better than the parts they are replacing. You can feel the quality of the craftsmanship, and the rifles ability to operate smoother, more reliably, and more accurately to boot. Need to start callin my rifle a Sadlak DMR, as that's pretty much what it's become. Kudos Sadlak, keep up the great innovations!

You didn't specifically mention their scope mounts. I think they make the best M14 scope mount.

No doubt. I'm still kicking myself for selling my titanium Sadlak mount. Aaaaarrrrgghhh.

Can't say anything about their scope mount as I sold mine before being able to get a mount upgrade, but I used their Op Rod Guide on mine and my wife's. Before installing my wife's I would slowly charge mine and then hers, there's a noticable difference. And that was just slowly charging, shooting it while the action is cycling at full speed just goes to show the quality behind the product!

Mike is #1 not only are his products the best but he backs up his products. Additionally he takes feedback from the field when we did the DMR rifles we found that a couple of the M14's would jam due to the cartridges hitting the underside of the scope mount.

Mike immediately had the undersides angled to fix the problem. Even though it was not a common problem he made mods to ensure 100% reliability

And yes, I SHOULD have mentioned their mounts. I run the Airborne Steel, and love it. Talk about set and forget zero. The piece looks and fits as if I grew in place on the side of the rifle. I Did, admittedly, take a while to get the front elevation screw set perfectly. It took some trial and error, but since locking it in, there's been 0 issues. One thing Ive found, certain reloads that tend to move the bolt much faster than normal will jam brass between the bolt and chamber. A little grease on the oprod, and Schuster Adj gas plug dialed down a bit, problem solved. Still the best mount on the market.

Does anyone know a way to put 20 MOA into the Sadlak mount? I have a PH 5-25 on a bolt gun and I would like to put in in a Larue 0 MOA OBR mount and use it one both rifles. However, the bolt gun has a 20 MOA bas and the Sadlak is 0 MOA.

Any suggestions?

I May be wrong, but I belive PRI and Weaver both make a "piggyback" 20 MOA rail for AR's. Im guessing, and this is a guess, havent used one, that they install onto the existing picatinny? Anyone else with more hard evidence?

I put a few 0.030 shims under the rear lug that goes in the stripper clip slot and that bought me a few extra mils of elevation so I could get out past 800 with the federal XM-80 150 FMJ's. Has worked just fine for several hundred rounds. Not sure how much of a shim you would need for 20 MOA as that depends on several factors specific to your mount, but I would bet you could figure something out to get it close. I'm also using a SEI mount as well, but same idea.
