Suppressors Form 4 wait time

If they haven't cashed your checks by now either they never got them or they got lost. You definitely want to call them Monday and I'd call my dealer to make sure they actually submitted my paperwork. We've seen on this site several times where the dealer did not submit the paperwork.

This! Mine was cashed with in 4 days after it arrived ( USPS delivery confirmed ). Definitely call and confirm they even have it or that it left the dealer.

Anyone get a can approved over the past couple weeks. Not talking about paperwork arriving - literal signature on paperwork. Wonder if the NFA branch is still in the office...

There is no Federal shutdown, just state wide. The ATF would be essential. Even if most get sick they said they have procedures in place to allow approvers to work from home.

And... my Form 1 was just approved yesterday.

That’s good info. They’re telling me I’m 2 months out on two different items. Glad to hear there have measures to pump them through

i'm contemplating buying another just to push through my hunting suppressor purchased in october. seems like the only way to speed things up these days.

Nice! Thats a short wait.

My buddy waited 3 hours in line to get his can Monday from his FFL. Only 2 peeps allowed in the store at one time. Very long line. His was approved in 5 months ( submitted in Oct 2019 )

Dang thems is quick turn around times!!! Might have to add a few more to jail just incase I hit the lottery and get them all approved at once

I ordered one on Black Friday, all paperwork complete on 12-16-19.
Ordered a second one Jan 1, all paperwork complete 1-8-20.

Got a call today, and went and picked them both up! I was expecting a 10-12+ month wait. Talk about a happy guy!

Weirdness prevails ... B&T TP9 can Form 4 trust sent Oct 15th 2019, approved March 1st 2020 - thats ~ 6.5 months ... however my Saker 556, B&T and KAC MP5SDs submitted in May 2019 nada. WTF is going on with ATF?

You will like the chode on the TP9. If you haven’t, pull a form 1 for the gun. Once it has a can, wire stock and vertical grip it becomes an entirely different gun. In fact, without the two stamps, it’s pretty much a pig.

I swapped out the trigger blade and charging handle for the ones printed by CustomSmith Mfg. Put a Trij SRO on it and you’ll have a great range toy.

Only issue I have is that it’s gassy in the face.

Didn’t get the big batch approval I was hoping for with 9 cans in jail. Just called today and found out 3 cans were approved on March 24th and those 3 cans all had the same tax stamp cashed on 6-1-19. It isn’t all 9 at once but I’m at least happy to get some back at around 10 months.... still have not received a call from the dealer yet saying to pick them up.

Man I just don’t understand the ways of the ATF. Total randomness. Hopefully soon for ya!

I can’t believe they just wouldn’t put all yours together for you. What a WASTE of resources.

I was debating calling today but think its just too soon. Will wait until Thursday (318 damn days) then call again. See what they’re saying.

I called ATF today and found out that my Nomad from 17May2019 on a single person Trust was approved on 18Mar2020 (8 months). I spoke with my dealer today to let them knw it was approved, no stamp as of yet, but probably end of this week or early next week (~ 2weeks between approval to stamp arrival).

Thankfully today the state and county gov in NC backed off the "all gun shops are considered non-essential businesses" and must close BS so I won't have to wait until the end of April to mid May to go pick it up! :)

That sucks. He could clean his office up. There's a lot of papers just sitting around. Just saying. BTW is he still there?

We will never know the full story or the truth behind why he was put on desk duty, but lets list what we do know.

1. He is making $150k a year. Many watching this make half that and work for it.

2. He is old and probably close to retirement. He will get 70-75%-ish of his current salary for the rest of his life.

3. He decided to video tape his daily work life, while crying the entire time and gave it to CNN.

What I would say to him, given what we know? Shut the fuck up and watch youtube.

Got a single person trust with 2 cans on it from May 20th 2019. Called today and still not been assigned. I am getting so sick of calling and nothing coming of it. Called since 295 days once a week (316 days at present).
Relllllly hoping this week I get approved.

I recently had 3 batch clear from the same examiner, 1 RP trust Form 4s.

Shortest wait was 36 days from check cashed to approved. Other two were at 107 and 148 days.

Definitely got lucky this time, last year I remember getting a form back that took over 400 days.

Form 4 Trust (2 RPs)
Purchased: 04/23/2019
Check cashed: 05/17/2019
Approved: 03/21/2020 (309 days)
Stamp @ Dealer: 04/13/2020

Interesting note - purchased another can (also trust w/ 2 RPs) and the check was cashed on 11/13/2019. As of 04/03/2020 the 2nd can was still pending, not approved at the same time as the one from May. In June 2019 we moved (same state, same county, just different town) so the addresses on the Form 4s are technically different. Not sure if that is what prevented the two from being approved at the same time, as others have been reporting.
