Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Remember that the FBI is also culpable in this process.
There is no doubt about the FBI, they always claim it's the "background check/prints" that is why its in limbo. Pending means nothing more than they have your money and the form is in the pipe, it's not like someone has actually looked at your form. I find it hard to believe it takes more than 5 minutes to run 1 thumb print to verify you, especially since I've been printed probably 20 times over my career. If your prints are in the system it should be simply a NICS check and it's verified. It is designed IMO to just be a slow walk, no matter what. My fastest approval was a form 1 SBR at ~12 weeks. I think those days may be over??

True, but hopefully the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Nothing will happen if nobody tries and just goes about their day living it like " well this is just how it is".
So far, according to the ATF I am above the standard for Efiles. ATF just told me about 40 minutes ago that the average wait was just around 180-190 days. I suspect the current standard will shift, and it won't be in our favor. Anyways, maybe one day someone will listen to our concerns?

Call me an idealist
By all means don't let me discourage you. My post is referring to the guy at just over 90 days saying he's gonna call his rep..

There seem to be a few people that it helped. Especially when the rep looked to find out where the problem was in the process for

guys i’m with both of you on this topic. i think it’s good we contact our reps, more than once actually. my rep has wrote an email a couple months ago and then followed up with a phone call to their liaison yesterday. same answer from ATF both times, “ pending, be patient”. the atf has no incentive to be proficient at their jobs. the are not held accountable and what’s worse is that they know it. i was told by my rep they couldn’t give any more info than that. of course i asked my rep , couldn’t or wouldn’t ? what irritates me is that if you can’t give any answers to my questions, then why are you answering the phone ? and this was suppose to be a atf congressional liaison. in my word if i performed my job with that much incompetence i would be fired. maybe if we all contacted our reps on a regular basis that may get tired of hearing from us and actually put some real pressure on the atf to do the jobs we are paying them to do. if nothing else our reps would get the message we are sick of this shit and we are going to keep bugging them until they do something about it. even if you’ve been waiting for only 90 days, i say go for it.
i’m sitting on 219 days myself.
just my 2 cents. for what that’s worth.

guys i hate to tell you but it doesn’t do any good to write our call your federal reps. been there done that. the ATF tells them the same thing they tell you when calling. “pending,be patient.” your typical government employees. they know they won’t be held accountable for their job performance.
Not true when I engaged my Senator’s office.

Been written up a couple of times in this thread so not going to regurgitate it again.

Cheers

That doesn’t give me much confidence in receiving my two from March 14th anytime soon.
I did some figuring this weekend and they're averaging 2-3 certification days per stamp week.
so like last friday, people on 3/9 were getting stamps and this friday it was 3/12.

You have a real chance at getting yours this week. I'm 3/17 so I'm still at "just two weeks away" just like I have been since around June. :/

Decided to call today, at day 167... Still pending... She said the average right now is 200 days for eForms. WTF! We're a long GD way from 90. This shit is stupid. Can't wait until midterms, and maybe we can find a way to remove them off the NFA and deregulate them. Not holding my breath, but there might be a glimmer of hope if things go Red in both the House and Senate.

Dude I’m like 15 months on a paper form4

Yeah, I've had a few long paper forms... 14 months, and 13 months, back when the average was still 8... I also watched a bunch of eForms come back to my dealer before my 13 month paper form came back. Believe me, I feel your pain.
I’ve had them from 60 days to 1 yr… this is the longest I’ve waited and I have friends who bought theirs after mine and got them already. Prolly be calling the ATF this week and see what’s up.

We all know 200 day average is a lie, too. It was 200 days 2 months ago, not now. At least they're consistent with every bit of data being behind. I haven't seen an eform under 200 days in a couple months so there's no way the average is that low.

I thought about diving back into the deep end again after just getting my Paper Form 4 approved a few weeks ago after waiting 347 days. But with the avg of 200+ day wait not so sure I want to put myself through this again.

there is a efile mega thread over on reddit. current processing dates are 3/10-3/12. current wait time is 234-235 days. fwiw. the crazy and annoying thing is that last week there were a few 3/18 dates approved. 3/17 certified date for me.

on a side note, i called atf last friday and received the expected response, “pending”. i did have a rather interesting conversation with the lady who answered. i’m asked a few questions about the processes/ wait times/ how many examiners were working/ how many applications were on average approved each day per examiner and how close to completing the paper forms they were. she said that she had been instructed to NOT give out any info except to say “pending”. she said that she had access to all the info that i had asked for but she could not divulge the answers. i have no way of confirming this but she seemed sincere during our conversation. FWIW.
