Yep. My son had that excuse given when he tried to buy a mosin late one day. Dealer was laaazzzy…My dealer is claiming that can’t certify anything now due to the “error in the system”. I think he just doesn’t wanna fuck with it on a Friday. He’s had my Scythe TI since Wednesday.
Two days! This is what @oldrifleman really looks like.Certified 2 on Single shot trusts Friday and got approvals today ( Sunday). Feel like I hit the lottery.
is that the actress I'm thinking of?
I don't know what you're thinking. However, when I look at her some impure thoughts have crossed my mind.is that the actress I'm thinking of?
Just a follow up.Finally got mine certified and submitted today for my Scythe Ti. Had to drive over and do it in person since my dealer never could get the “join session” to work on E-forms certification.
This is what @Trevor300wsm really looks like. Congrats.Just a follow up.
Submitted yesterday around 10:20am.
Got the approval today at 1:39pm.
Around 27 hours +/-
Silencer shop individual
SiCo Scythe Ti.
Dealer to dealer has to be approved via form 3. Old days it was a week to 10 ish days. I just had one done in about 3 days, or just underThe local small gun shop where I purchased my first 2 suppressors changed ownership
I thought I would support the new owner and ordered a Huxwrx Ventum 762 from him
He did not have it in stock and had to get one in.
It has been over three weeks and he says it is still waiting for ATF approval. (the transfer to I assume)
I did not think a SOT had to wait for approval like we did.
My question here is, do they?
I don't believe he is being dishonest with me but I do not know the rules like I do with my FFL.
I do know of people that have bought cans from him and their wait times seemed on the long side of what I read here but not terrible
I understand there is a learning curve and I think he is coming up to speed on the process
Perfect, thanks for answering my questionDealer to dealer has to be approved via form 3. Old days it was a week to 10 ish days. I just had one done in about 3 days, or just under
You may be waiting on your dealer to find one in stock and ready to ship? I was under the impression the Ventum was being discontinued when I talked to a dealer a few weeks ago. I wanted to see one, and that’s what I was told.Perfect, thanks for answering my question
Not in a big hurry for it but a bit sad it is taking so long before I can start my approval wait!
Well he says he is "waiting on approval from ATF" but being a little vagueYou may be waiting on your dealer to find one in stock and ready to ship? I was under the impression the Ventum was being discontinued when I talked to a dealer a few weeks ago. I wanted to see one, and that’s what I was told.
That’s just what I was told, I have not done much digging on it. It might have been the shop I went to just trying to sell me something they had on hand like the Flow series. The ventum is in stock at SilencerShop as of this posting. If the Ventum is being discontinued, what is replacing it?
I submitted a SS trust on 2/27 so fingers crossed mine gets approved soon.PTR Vent 3 form 4 submitted electronically on 2/26/25 on a single shot trust. Still waiting. Last 3 were individual and were all approved in under 72-ish or so hours. Fingers crossed I get approved this week..
Edit: just received the APPROVED email notification 3/5/25. 1 week approval time for single shot trust. RTR
I think it’s more about the desk it lands on but it’s just speculation.Does anyone know if the FFL matters, ie, should I drive 30 mins to a shop that does a ton of them, or drive a mile to a place that might do a few per year?
I wait right outside the employee door of the ATF with a pleading sign around my neck, application in hand, jingling a cup around that contains a few pennies.Does anyone know if the FFL matters, ie, should I drive 30 mins to a shop that does a ton of them, or drive a mile to a place that might do a few per year?
Apparently, all you have to do is reply to this thread and the ATF will get it pushed through.I submitted a SS trust on 2/27 so fingers crossed mine gets approved soon.
Not sure what you mean by the "Silencershop way" but my last dozen cans and 6 F1s have all been done through SS simply because they already have my prints and it's easy.Has everyone been doing it the "SilencerShop way"? That for me seems to have resulted in the fastest approvals. Maybe just coincidence.
