I usually would call maybe once every 3 weeks to see the status and when I called on May 26 I heard APPROVED and was like

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!! on the phone to the nice lady Mary? She had a kinda puzzled sound like, Ok sir get over it.

I called to check once and the dude on the phone started asking questions, like when was it mailed in; when the check was cashed. Which I answered. He then said " I don't know who you know, its not supposed happen this quick". From the day the Form 4 was sent to approval was 45 days.

My check was cashed for my latest on May 12 2011 hoping its a lucky fast one but will wait regardless and feel like Christmas morning when it gets in. Is there a way to check online? Mine is a trust my third can and in Texas if those things matter. PG

I just checked it went pending June 6th she said it can take up to five months after pending NICE! PG

Approved Sept 27th so just short of five months from check cashed

Sandra Snook has done all of my Form 4's and has one right now. She averages about 2 1/2 months. She lost my trust paperwork one time. Instead of kicking my Form 4 back, she called my dealer and asked him to have me send another copy to her directly. I did so and had the stamp 2 weeks later. She's given me no reason for
complaint. Good luck.

We call them. Need to have a copy of your form in hand. NFA Branch admin will ask for your name, dealer name, & Serial of the NFA item before giving you status. Pending doesn't mean much though, my last one took 2.5 months after going pending to get approved.

Just spoke to my dealer tracking my Form 4 I sent in back in March 2011. Yes the ATF cashed the check. The "Reorganization" has apparently slowed the process. I was told our forms were at the bottom of the list.

This is criminal incompetence. Funny how things were reorganized now all the wait times are extended.

I wonder if enough calls and letters to Senators and Congressmen during this whole Fast and Furious scandal will further the investigation of the ATF's corruption and ineptness

I would guess any letters to that bunch of thieves will get them to notice they have not raised the cost in 70 years. Just my opinion I cant believe its only $200 I think its been that since the 1930s or 1940s right? PG

now i can't even think about anything but finding my SBR stamp in the mail.

Im at 4.5 months tomorrow. Still pending as of 27 Apr. I kinda forgot about it, but since the end of June, now im starting to get anxious as hell.

I think the reassignment of inspectors has the wait time all jacked up. Sandra Snook has signed all of mine before and it was 10 weeks for each every time. I'm at 13 weeks now. I built a rifle just for this can so I'm getting anxious about it.

I see I'm not the only one. Waited 11 weeks for a manufacturer to dealer transfer. Now the real waiting begins.
