I went out shooting this weekend with Joe and Dane from DMR LLC rifles here in Vegas along with our friend Robert who brought along his DJI Inspire 2 drone to play around with. It was my first real experience seeing what a pro type drone was capable of and it blew my mind. I put together a little edit of Joe and Dane banging away at a spinner at 380 yards. Video features two 16" 6.5 Creedmoor builds. Joe's on a Stiller action in a Mirage chassis and Dane's on a Tikka action in an XLR chassis.

This is the perfect time of year in Vegas. It was 70, sunny and light winds all morning. Had a blast shooting with these guys and playing with the drone. Its amazing what something like the Inspire 2 is capable off in such a small package.

Cool video, how's the velocity out of those 16" barrels?

Joe was guessing about 2600-2650 with the 142 SMK load he had that day. He just put the rifle together and that was the first time shooting it. He didnt chrono it as it was more of a shake down run than anything. Not sure what load Dane was running so I can't say on the speed. I want to say previously he was using 123 Scenars going like 2700ish or so but don't quote me on that.

Nice video. What suppressor was being used on the mirage chassis gun? Sounded very...Hollywood. At least it did from the video.

Delta P Brevis can. The mic on the camera and where it was placed made the suppressors sound funny sometimes. But...when you are behind that can shooting it thats exactly what it sounds like. Just like a laser gun in an old movie. Its a trip.

Bweeeww!!

Gotta love drone video work. It makes things look amazing and it is easy to do when you learn how to. I've got a phantom 4 and wish I had an inspire. Maybe someday.
great video.

It was my first time ever being around one. The files we shot were 1080. The thing will do up to 5.2K Raw which blows my mind. Robert had a two controller set up with ipads for displays. One for the pilot and one for the gimbal operator. I played around on the gimbal for awhile and was able to get a few decent shots but there is definitely a skill to it. I wouldn't want to do it on a set full of people looking at me to not screw up the shot unless I had a ton of practice.

The possibilities for cool shots are endless though. I would like to play around with a Mavic Pro to see how something a little less complex and a hell of a lot cheaper does.

I run mine with goggles. So it's basically like hanging off the bottom on it. I move my head and it'll move the gimbal. The phantom 4 can record in 4k, but it burns up memory space at 1.2 gigs in about 2.5 minutes. The images are crazy, but dealing with that kind of video space is insane.

I'd say if you want to give it a try get the phantom 4 Or mavic.

Sweet video.

I just moved to Vegas a couple months ago. Looks like a cool place to shoot. I've just driven out into the middle of no where to shoot but don't really have a great place.

Would love to go shoot with with someone else if you ever need more company.
