The good times which are built by the hard men that went through the bad times breed the weak and lazy women who inevitably think... "Well if it's so nice now, just think how much better it could be if the government took it all over and gave free stuff to everyone and made a perfect utopia".... So they vote in the Communists and well the cycle starts over.
Just ask the fools in Venezuela how that worked for them... Pretty much the exact cycle... Nice rich well to do country run in capitalist fashion... Wouldn't a bit of socialism make it even better... you know for the... "underprivileged".... now they are seeing where it leads to.

Because it is here as it was in 1857... just not hot yet. As in 1857. It took sparks to light the tinderbox. Harpers Ferry. Lincoln’s election. Secession. And firing on Fort Sumter. Those took things from cold to hot.
The hard rain can be avoided. We have Cooler heads now than then. And the perspective of history. 2500 years of it. Which is very well and good if we are smart enough to learn from it and not walk right into the same lamppost for the umteenth time...

What we fight now is an education system that fights the theme of American Freedom and Exceptionalism at every turn. You can raise your children, as a national system, anyway you want, and for some reason, we chose to allow socialists to raise our children. Now we are stuck with a class of children who think that socialism is a viable economic system for America.
Our forefathers fought against those systems of civilization but now we are going to give it over to socialism for free. Our problem in this country is we have too much and have not had a good fight to scare the population of what it will lose. We are like the Roman empire we will fall from within and I blame it on the Education System.

Before my father passed he used to like saying-
"In my day we had Iron Men and Wooden Ships- now you have Wooden Men and Iron Ships"
He came up in the 20's and told me if you didn't work for it you'd starve.
