Fuel is about to get cheaper as Saudi Arabia floods the market

Can you explain how?

As long as that move isn't driven by government fiat, it won't.
It would be all government money. It wouldn’t hurt the energy sector anyhow. All of it is too inefficient and ineffective to really matter. It would just end up being another transfer of wealth from us to the well connected.

You well know that was not my point. You want to blame the meltdown on him, I won't argue. He had nothing to do with the recovery though. He was out of office. Your response is knowingly misleading.

Eh, and your initial statement was not?

The fact of the matter is that both Bush and Obama share substantial blame for making the last downturn deeper and longer than it would have been otherwise, and left our financial system in a weaker and more vulnerable state. The Fed did the heavy lifting in this whole process, and the roots of that problem go back way further than our two most recent failed presidents.

As it relates to this topic, we're about to fuck up the energy markets with a variety of government intervention ranging from from closing off our markets to bailing out companies than made unsustainable investments. I do not have any faith that one party will accomplish this task more successfully than the other, but we're certainly going to see both sides twist facts in an attempt to demonstrate that the opposition's failed intervention was more destructive than their own failed interventions.

Hellava system that we've got.

Like I said, as long as government money isn't involved...….

Anyway, achieving criticality in nuclear fusion will destroy the oil economy of our enemies, give us an unlimited source of electricity, and make native fossil fuels dirt cheap during the transition to electric mobility.

I've started to price out (total cost of ownership) a NG powered whole house generator against roof solar cells integrated with a home storage battery system and it's not looking too good for the generator. Add to that the fact that the NG supply can be cut by my utility but the sun cannot be obscured at will...……….
