If I've got bread milk and eggs, I can survive off of french toast for weeks. I've lived through decades of snow in the south for decades. For you Southerners having snow for the first time in years, this is good advice:
Do you have links to your feeder and watered set up? TIASet for the coming super cold later this week.

I don't think OJ would have cared if someone else was tapping Ole Hillary probably would have thanked them certainly wouldn't have stabbed them to death.
Waterer. Don’t take too much stock in the negative reviews. If you read them, you can picture “I don’t need no man” types complaining about non-issues. “It’s heavy to turn back over“ …well yeah it’s 3g of water…Do you have links to your feeder and watered set up? TIA
How the hell did chickens survive for 2 million years before man came along to buy them heaters and warm their water ??Waterer. Don’t take too much stock in the negative reviews. The reservoir attaches well and you can fill the reservoir (upside down) and then put on the base like any other plastic waterer. In the pic you can see how by looping the cord with plenty of slack it won’t pull it off of vertical and cause it to drain out. I used a zip tie to keep the cord attached to the handle/hanger.
I do think the plastic handle might not take much abuse and I plan to bent up a steel replacement.
Get the replacement plan and then if it does crack or quit working you won’t have to buy a new one.
There you have it a quick review.
I hang them both from the roof of the run with poly rope. I don’t want anything on the ground.
The feeder is just a $10 plastic one, almost any will do.

You ever see a rooster that lost a comb or wattles to frostbite or hens who loose feet from the same and you’ll be a believer in heaters. How the hell did chickens survive for 2 million years before man came along to buy them heaters and warm their water ??
