So yoga pants caused the problem and in order to fix the problem you need new UnderRoos instead of just wearing different clothes you already have, like shorts or sweatpants.

And ever see the anti-Irish cartoons and editorials from the 19th century? Well, they were Irish.
One of my best buddies is A second generation American. His grandfather was born in Italy and came to the US at the turn of the last century. The job he got off the boat was as a sand hog, which was basically a tunnel digger in New York as they were building subways and train entrances.
Palmieri lived in camps, provided in the New York area by the railroad companies. And they were segregated ethnically. He still has the map from his grandfather of where his tent/cabin was. It was in a section marked very clearly:
“Ni66ers and Wops.”
Of course by then the Irish were running things.

Agreed 1000%. Also don't forget that unlike actual slaves, indentured servants had terrible living conditions, and their "bosses" really didn't care if you lived or died while working off your debt. And if you died, your family was still on the hook to pay that debt (from my understanding anyway). Whereas actual slaves that cost actual money were taken much better care of because they were an investment.
There was also the mass influx of the Chinese, to build the transcontinental railroad system.
People today want to paint over the dark times in our history, and pretend we all sat around campfires and sang Kumbaya before bed every night. Nothing could be further from the actual truth. And the more we bury it, the more we are destined to repeat it.
Tangent things to ponder.....
Go listen to some of the interviews that Lex Friedman and others have done with Eric Weinstien.
He makes solid arguments that the key is physics we haven't uncovered yet. He makes the correct point that we will never be capable of travel outside of our own system using any type of chemical or similar propulsions. Even at light speed, the transit times are not doable.
He proposes that there are undiscovered physics that are the doorway to FTL or near instantaneous transit times.
Pretty cool to listen to.

that is the foundation of most sci fi i have read. new physics,time warp,alt streams in the universe. could be. the problem of lethal interstellar radiation is another impediment. ie at least from my limited knowledge of physics.

Thanks, but it clearly states on my résumé that I don’t work around chippers I only throw pedos in holes and bury them Too deep for the cadaver dogs. But thanks for the offer!
