Hawks Hill Tunnel Disaster. Majority of those who died including children were Irish. The Tunnel builders didn't like using slaves as laborer because if they were injured or killed, the owners needed to be compensated. Not so for the Irish laborers, maimed or killed tough luck.

Madison Marsh was Miss Colorado before graduating from the Air Force Academy.
Active duty US Air Force 2nd Lieutenant Madison Marsh, who pilots F-16 fighter jets, was crowned Miss America 2024 this week in an unprecedented result for the storied beauty pageant, which has been held since 1920 and features one representative from each state.
Miss Colorado is the first member of the US military to win the event. Ellie Breaux, who is Miss Texas, was named first runner-up. (Not true, first was Miss Alaska, West Point grad, 2021, who has been seen in Thunderbirds).
She received a masters degree from Harvard university In political policy.
I can only hope she's MAGA.

Pretty impressive 16yr old young lady.
She was very clear in making her case. She didn't "umm" and "you know", etc. She didn't read off of her phone or paper notes. She clearly spoke her mind and communicated her beliefs.
These days, that is unfortunately unusual. Good on her.

UK authorized use of its long range missiles too. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an action it would be towards the UK, but I think/hope Putin has the patience to wait until Trump gets an office (if Trump akes it into office). At least in his speech he said he would go after the location specifically responsible for these supplying weapons (and the personnel managing those weapon) used against Russia, and stated that they would warn civilians just like Israel used to do. He believes there is no defense against the ICBMs like they used yesterday, so giving warning notice won't deter the effect other than reduce casualties. I guess that's somewhat reassuring and infers that nukes are much less likely.

Well, using ICBMs with conventional warheads is expensive…. And he sure as shit can’t afford to keep doing that.
However, Russia would be lying if they said that they hadn’t already been going after countries that have been supplying Ukraine weapons; they certainly have been attempting to influence our election and use a whole bunch of other methods related to cyber warfare and spying.
he’s already been doing things so to speak on our soil. He was doing so before he invaded Ukraine, and hes continued to do so.
Realistically, it doesn’t do anybody any good let him do whatever he wants, and unless he can get North Korea and China to invade South Korea and Taiwan immediately… It’s unlikely he’ll start World War III because he’ll get his ass kick kicked.
