Had a displaced fracture of my left femur in 2018 from bike crash. Any movement caused excruciating pain. At the ER was given morphine for the first time in my life and it was a weird sensation as it took effect. Had surgery the next day and Ortho didn't want to me stay in the hospital for fear of infection and discharged me the day after surgery. Was on a morphine pump before and after surgery then they shot me up with Tramadol to send me home. Once home all I had was codeine 3 and didn't do much for the pain but I knew the Ortho and he didn't like prescribing opiates and now thankful for that.

So when you gonna make me a nice skinning knife bro?🤠

i wouldn't know how to make a knife. i work with planes, well not since last year. been on workers comp due to stuffing my shoulder at work and having shoulder surgery little over 5 months ago. i know how to use a butter knife, not pretty but it gets the job done :ROFLMAO:

Does the needle/pin hurt more, or the aspiration of the marrow?
Seems my memory it was the aspiration always was horrible.

I remember a dude who was awake and had no veins and had to get an IO. Trauma patient with a crashing BP and needed access.
Someone flushed it without lidocaine.
He didnt like that either. The guy who wanted water 2 doors down shut up after hearing that scream through a closed door.....
I was out when ever it was done to me, but I hurt for weeks after.
The first time was for my neck surgery and I could hardly walk for two weeks.
Second time was to check on marrow post chemo, that was a bloody mess.
