^ Hahaha, I still run the 20+ year old 10x M3 on my former police "sniper" trade-in first gen FN SPR in .308. Turrets mushy as hell, glass comparable to a Walmart special these days, but damn if it isn't repeatable.

Definitely sub-optimal, but my hunting load matches the turrets to 400 spot on, and I'm 4 for 4 on deer with it. I chuckle every time I pull it out of the safe because its the worst of every world for hunting, yet still gets the job done.

I know a lot of guys that cut their teeth with them in the military and have fond memories of them and thus, still recommend them.

Started my professional tenure with a mk4 LRT...it just got retired; we called it "Mama's boy" because it did have tracking problems and always was going home (back to Leupold). Was just thinking to myself how funny it was that when I was shopping for my first piece of serious glass, I would've given near anything to be a cool guy with a mildot Mk4 and when I got one, I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

cool and scary. Reminds me of the Fang near Vail CO.
I did this when I was younger.
stopped after I was on a mixed route (using ice and rock to climb) and luckily had an ice tool stuck in a crack in the rock when all the ice I was using cracked and fell away. Had to finish the climb in crampons with ice tools on wet rock.
I just tossed the underwear I had on when I made it home.

I for sure did some dumb stuff when I was young. Still dont know all the reasons God kept me alive, and trying my best to make better choices now...
