You are correct. I admit that I didn't really notice it when I selected the photo.
There were a bunch of them with this little girl and her father. I immediately noticed the expression on her face and thought she was a cute kid that enjoys the shooting sport with her dad.
At least both of them are keeping their fingers off the trigger.
My guess is that they don't make this sort of pose a habit.
