Seen that done once in a land far far away. Guy forgot to leave clearance when ballistic breaching a door. The barrel split right up the middle.

if you drop a 20 into a 12gauge it will slide down to the end of the forcing cone or to a barrel constriction
then you load a 12 gauge and create a pipe bomb.
