I just realized that you have to watch the video on instagram to see the "wide" version, at least for me. The wide version shows the cat attacking him while he's in the far corner of the room.
Must have been the pajamas that set the cat off. May have perceived the pattern on the pajamas as eyes. Who knows. Psycho cat...

Haven't had a cat since, lucky for me my wife is really allergic to them...so as much as she would like to have one, we can't.
We're dog people, have six of the mongrels...all in the house. They can be a pain in the ass too, but only a fool would try to come in, when they won't let friends in the house that they know.

Winston the Cat (15#) and my son (50#). Same age.
Winston is a bastard. The most bastardly cat I have EVER met. Per our vet, well in the top 5 most horrible cats she's ever had to examine.
Will maul you. Has Mauled the Missus (her cat initially). Repeatedly.
He will not lift a paw to any child. Sleeps behind his door to protect against intruders. Plays fetch and tag with kids. Has been poked and prodded and bathed and harassed more than any cat I've ever seen and when it's a kid... there is no limit to his tolerance.
They will do that at shelters so the cat can be easily ID‘d as being “fixed”. Some vets will also.

I can vouch for that. Played from the age of five through college at a time before face protection was required. Lost count of the number of stitches in my face as well as multiple broken noses and other bones. Terry Sawchuck was a great goalie and remember watching him play near the end of his career.
