My church still has the Optimus (Japanese from Radio Shack) CD changer I gave them forever ago. While most of our media is in a hard drive now, the changer still works perfectly.

Very true. My folks Panasonic microwave broke after 38yrs. They were built to be repaired but had to bin of it because the parts were no where to be found. That was a shame, it weighed like 70 lbs. They still have a Pioneer stereo from the 70's.Back when Japanese electronics were built for a lifetime of use. Not like the disposable shit of today. I remember going with my dad to buy a Nakamichi CD player back in the mid 80s. Thing was like $1000 back then. Probably still works.
