FYI SIG Cross recall.

Guys, got my Cross back from recall "repair". It came back with an extra detent in the safety about 30 degrees from the safe setting (which apparently is also "safe". Of course I called Sig and got mostly attitude and assurance it was by design. Wish I never sent it back, mine didn't seem to have the problem, but was specified in the recall series. Several other forum users report the same selector change. Everything else seems good. Grr.

Just fyi, pretty much everyone is experiencing this and I have confirmed it is present on brand new ones at my local.shop too. It bothered me at first but I have had mine back for about a month and just flick it to safe a little harder and it has seemed to wear in too. Mine is a nail driver and shoots 1/2 moa with my lapua handloads, so I will just live with it.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, mine is also stupid accurate for a factory gun, seems to like the Hornady 143gr best, but haven't found a round that will come out of the moa circle. Love it, but still annoyed.

I hear ya. I had your same reaction the day I got it back.

Now another wonderful cross story...I was at my buddy's shop last week and he handed me a new cross. He said to feel the trigger (and this is from the factory post recall). The trigger pull was so light, there was no wall. You went through the first stage and then when you got to where the 2nd stage should be, it would just fire. He was just waiting for his rep to stop by so he could send it back. This was the first cross they got in, after sending over 20 rifles back from various customers. Now if my rifle came back like that, I would be irate.

Yikes. Thankfully my trigger seems to be the same as when it left. What a fiasco. You think I would have learned after my 716 and MCX.
