GA precision crusader trigger pull please help

The trigger that comes standard on the crusader has suddenly gone from a 2.5 lb pull to a 6.5 lb pull.
WHY, and is there a way to fix it with out having to buy a new trigger?

Sounds like a part failure or something got into the mechanism. Best bet is to call GAP and see what they suggest. In the meantime, you certainly can unbolt the barreled action from the rifle so you can take a look at the trigger mechanism and see if anything might be lodged in it or if anything else looks awry.

Spray the trigger assembly with degreaser or lighter fluid and compressed air, if you still have a problem call GA Precision.

Im sure they will. Just thought someone might know how to adjust it so

AT the very least, I'd go to "cleaning and inspecting" before I would even consider "adjusting" anything. For it to be a sudden change, there has to be an issue of some sort.

Take it apart, and put up some pics. Then further steps can be taken, from there.

Let me be explicitly specific here, for those who're not following the 'gist of the discussion:

Take the barreled action out of the stock!!!! THAT is what was implied, with the statement of "Take It Apart". This way, things can be seen, compared, and cleared.

Long before any DISSECTION would take place, of the components. I honestly thought that would be clear.... especially with the "cleaning and inspecting" being emphasized. I'll quote myself here, when I said: "before I would even consider "adjusting" anything".

Why, this is what forums are for. It's not a bashing thread, it's simply asking for help with a problem that isn't GAP's fault. I asked for help with my Nightforce zero stop the other day and it prevented me from sending off the scope.

^^^^This is where I would start, most likely something foreign is in the trigger group causing this.

If you can.... spray a little lighter fluid in there to break up any crud.
Hit it with some quality trigger grease and see if that helps. Otherwise the trigger might have had a mechanical failure.
I had a Jewell trigger do this same thing to me in Florida @ K&M. It got sand in it and was trashed. I threw it in the trash can and went to the Timney 517 flat shoe, never looked back!

In that case sending it back to GAP would be the smart thing to do. Best to call BEFORE sending it to let them know exactly what the issue is.
Remember, all things mechanical are bound to fail at some point. These things happen and GAP will be sure to fix you up.
