I recently purchased a 6mm Creedmoor GAP-10 upper that was originally Cerakoted FDE by GAP. Is it possible to remove the FDE cerakote from the upper & hand guard without damaging the original black anodize below? I've got 3 other GAP-10's and I want it to match its brethren...
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!
Edit: I'm not opposed to the idea of having it stripped and re-anodized just as long as the process used to remove the cerakote doesn't cause micro-pitting, etc... I want it to be exactly like my others!!! I'd even PAY to trade the FDE upper & hand guard (no barrel) for one that is the regular anodized black!!!
