GAP-10 vs. KAC

I've been looking at purchasing a high end .308 AR platform. my question is this, of the two listed in the title, what are some of the benefits of each one? I read a lot about the GA's accuracy and reliability, and it appears to be top of the class. so why why is the KAC more expensive? how are these companies' customer service? in terms of accuracy what can I expect from the KAC? (looking at the ECR) with the options I'm looking at, the GA would be 4,000 bucks. what does a Knight's ECR run, and how long from order would it take me to get it? any answers to question I should be asking but missed would be greatly appreciated as well!!!

also, I know I'm probably going to get my fair share of fanboy-ism in this thread, but I bet neither shoots 1" groups at 1000 yds

Own a new Sr-25. Love it. Spent a year doing the back n forth and settled on the SR. Had one small issue with a dust cover (bent in shipping). Called KAC and a new one showed up a couple days later, no questions asked.

Havent looked back since.

Get the parts you want and assemble your own. You get exactly what you want, it's fun and saves you some money in the process. Best part is you don't have a 10 month wait.

Ive had both and still have the SR. The GA gun was probably the most accurate .308 rifle I have ever shot, and not just in the gas gun realm. The KAC is stupid reliable. At the end of the day they both are truly great guns, just different. Id buy another GAP-10, but Im actively looking for another SR.

I have a Gap 10 .308 and it is an awesome, accurate, reliably rifle. I can put a novice shooter on my Gap and have them hitting at 800 yards pretty easy. I think the Gap will be more accurate. I also have a Kac, but its the SR15 mod 1 5.56 awesome rifle and has the Kac name. They will both be great rifles, I just think the Gap will be more accurate of the two. Both have great resale value and are supported well as far as customer service. I would shoot both and buy the one you like the best.

so upside #1 of the KAC is its toughness/durability, but the GAP-10 isnt really lacking in those areas either is what I'm reading? its a tough choice, but I think (especially considering the price difference) the GAP is probably the way to go for me. I appreciate the/any following input!

I will tell you this I fall more in love with my gap 10 every single time I shoot it. It is a hammer and easy to shoot well. The Gap is heavy and tough and mine has been totally reliably. I run mine a little wet like all my gas guns. It really likes Federal Fgmm 175's and Asym 175's. The Asyms have more velocity and make nice little clover leaf groups if ya do your part.

I personally always thought the SR-25 was a bit overpriced, paying for the name.
