Quick question, does geissele make a single stage trigger? Just took a trade for an AR thats advertised as one thing, but i think its another(if this is the case, its a simple mistake by the other party, not talking shit). Also, theres no G on the trigger shoe, there is on my other 3. Looks like their website is all two stage and cant find anything online on the subject. Thanks for the help!

Geissele trigger question

People often describe the super 3 gun (S3G) as a single stage but according to the image on the Geissele website it should still have the "G".
Heres a couple pics, didnt want to take it apart because technicqlly itisnt mine yet. But i had to know.
Mine all sat Geissele on the side of the trigger too. Man, i just cant be sure about their older models! Looks like a standard trigger with some polishing and a JP spring kit to me.

NOT a Geissele, but based on the appearance/markings, its likely an ALG Defense QMS trigger (a sister company of Geissele).
They are basically "improved" versions of the standard, single-stage mil-spec AR/M16 trigger group that feature the same degree of reliability/function of the mil-spec triggers, but with improved weight of pull (~5.5lbs versus up to 9.5lbs or so on a mil-spec), improved sear surfaces, etc. They are nice triggers, but they are NOT Geissele or anywhere close to an S3G or any other model offered by Geissele at this time. Brand new, they are ~$50 triggers. I can't say that those springs are OEM, but they are what they are.

Man, thanks for puttig this to rest. I couldnt get ahold of the guys a Geissele to ask. I appreciate everyones input! To its credit, it does feel niceish!

I have to agree with you. The red hammer spring and yellow trigger spring look identical to the springs I got with the JP reduced trigger spring kit I got from Brownells.
Thank you, looked like it. We have the issue worked out now. Keeping the trade in line, just made some other additions on his end. No harm was intended. Thanks again guys.
I love the S3G for what it was designed for -very fast shot groups- but there are much better single stage triggers out there for precision work. The S3G does not break like glass (not even like a carrot) but has a lot of "roll" before it breaks. Wonderful trigger for target rich close quarters though.
