Night Vision Gen III Micro Monocular

Anyone here have any experience with this particular unit? I am considering this unit but feel that I still need some more info on these devices especially after reading the fantastic and exhaustive guide that Victor put out.

Very nice uint, the housings are made by AB Night Vision.
What kind of questions do you have?

They are a great little unit - but are not water resistant, cannot be purged and the lens is not great, but for the price it's OK.

If you stick an ENVIS M703 lens on it, they work very well.

Though as with most things, the question is what do you want to do with it?

I wanted the scope mainly while backpacking, camping etc.. However, I would like to be able to put it behind an ACOG if I wanted to. I have gotten some good advice from other members regarding this topic and am considering a true PVS14. I want to save some money as I feel for my primary application the PVS14 maybe overkill. The question is can I get a reasonable cheaper unit that satisfies my requirement. However, with all of the units out there, it is kind of looking like play big (true milspec PVS14) or don't play at all.
