Excuse me, NF redesigned their scope, which is why the F1 which is completely different than the NXS had a change in price. They didn't raise the price from $1500 to $2200 for no good reason. It required a lot of extra effort.
Premier is doing what they feel is necessary to sustain business, that is up to them where they want to price their product, not any of you. If they feel the market will bear their prices, they are welcome to try. As well the NF competes 100% with any other optics in the $2500 price range so the idea they are doing something different is ridiculous.
Further more, I pay for plenty of my optics, do you think S&B gave me a singe one of the 12 I own... fuck no they didn't. 90% of the optics I review are given back, I don't keep them or resell them, the idea I don't pay for shit is simply wishful thinking...
Companies not only have to worry about competition, and that is usually not in their favor, there are things like marketing costs, they pay to be on this site, which costs them more money. There are things like prizes for matches, like when Premier sends scopes down for the Cup & Bash, as does, NF, USO, Hensoldt, etc... they all send stuff, that cost them money. That has to come from somewhere.
So while many of you may not like the increase it is fact of life, you can choose to grin and bear it, or you can chose to find something you like some where else. That is why we have choices... </div></div>
Not to mention the costs incurred when someone breaks something and they fix it. Replacement parts arent free to the manufacturer, nor is labor. High end products usually come with a lifetime warranty and most of them honor it even if you do something stupid or simply wear out a consumable part.
An example: Surefire flashights, the inital cost is high( compared to junk I wouldn't consider a light) but if you don't loose it(been there), you will never have to buy another.
Snap-on tools are another example. Act civilized and most any well known company will treat you well when you invest in their products. *** This does NOT apply to Wal-Mart***
