Wyoming is now authorizing up to 3 elk per hunter.

You can purchase over the counter elk tags in many areas, resident and non-resident a like.

If you missed out on a draw, and want a cow/calf, come and get them.

If you have a Elk tag and looking for a bull, you can still buy some good eating (cow/calf) over the counter.

Man I wish I could have hunted in Wyoming. I lived in Laramie for 8 months while going to Wyo Tech. We did alot of offroading in the surrounding areas and saw tons of muleys and speed goats. That was 13 years ago though.
I am a now at a place where I can afford to do out of state hunting trips and Wyoming is next.

I would love to go. None of my friends like to take trips like this, but I do. I went to Wyoming by myself last year and hunted coyotes in some areas around the Shirley Basin. I'd pack my stuff and be gone in a minute if I could find someone to go with me. OTC elk tags for out of staters....damn right I'd go.

I looked around in there, & found the discounted cow licence for $288.00. Is that it, or is there another fee for tag required to hunt?

There is a fee if you oder on line from the F&G sight, bringing the NR license to $312.

Plus, anyone, resident and non resident alike, had to by a Conversation Stamp $12.50 to hunt or fish in Wyoming.

So if you come here and buy over the counter a NR cow elk tag would be 300.50 (288 + 12.50)

Cool. $300.00 for an out of state license, & tag is a good deal. I'll talk to my hunting buddy about it. Our season ends on 11/5 so if the Wyoming season is later we might do both.
