With regard to stock shape and cheek weld. I find myself thinking I need the comb of my higher comb stocks to move over to the right some for more natural cheek weld. Only when prone however. Classic American straight comb is not high enough but I deal with it more easily than with the Higher comb.
Shooting at an 'angle' to the rifle for years and now with harder recoiling rifle, I have moved straight behind the rifle to control recoil and jump. That part is working pretty good.
Is a stock modification worth looking into or am I using a bad form?

I find that I have to move the comb over to the right as well. I think it's because my eye spacing is pretty narrow, so I have to move my head over a bit more than someone whos eyes are located more toward the side of their head.

How does one accomplish moving the comb? With your comb moved over do you still have good position off the car hood, standing with other support?
I know I could re stock, AI has that feature, among others.-

Consider the need to shoot support side before adjusting the comb to the side. It will make support side shooting even harder. If that is not a concern for you, move the comb. Maybe you can just make it narrower?

I'm using an AICS on the gun I can move the comb over. I haven't expanded my experience from positions other than prone and bench yet.
