is there a server issue tonight, I kept getting DC from the site. Its not my IP as other sites come up real fast. Just the hide.

yes there is a issue with some computers are flooding the site with requests, and they are trying to put an automated brake on the system to control the flood of attacks.
The automation was set too high, giving people the maximum bandwidth warning, too low the attacks get through.
Not a whole lot I can do because these attacks are coming from multiple locations at the same time.

Ok I ran a few scans on my computer I didn't want to be the bearer of bad juju

I also replied in the thread "Help- max speed assigned to my ip too fast"
But in short this was not a "virus" or something infecting computers. This appears to be a very large number of IP_Addresses each day - at some random time - all deciding to beat on the site all at once.... i.e. a "Distributed Denial of Service" attack (DDoS).
Although this was a problem on the site about 3 1/2 hours ago; the problems in the past 2 hours have been mostly due to getting the settings on the new security devices configured properly.
If anyone is still having problems please email - support at geovario dot com - and we'll get you back onto SnipersHide ASAP.

I work in the IT industry and don't understand why people do this kind of stupid stuff.
I mean crap if you are that bored and want to do something that involves bragging rights, online and computers, bring UT back by forming a clan that only uses the teleporter and sniper rifles to peform head shots mid-teleport while still in the air.

Getting the same thing happening again. Click on a link and get immediately redirected to the oops link broken page and the bandwidth page.
