Gloves: alternative to PIG gloves?

ive been using PIG gloves for shooting/hunting/general thin gloves that are easier to handle things than the yellow rawhide construction gloves.

i really like the PIG gloves but i seem to be good with them for a couple of months of regular use and then the seems on the fingers blow out and they are worthless. Im not an operator or high speed guy but id like some dexterous gloves that are better quality than the PIG gloves. also, they have gotten more expensive like eveyrthing else.

are mechanix gloves the way to go? i dont really need the knuckle protection of the high speed oakley gloves but ill take all suggestions.

I look at gloves like I do sunglasses, I'm going to destroy them one way or another so why dump a bunch of money into them, they're a wear item. So for that, I like me some Mechanix Fastfit gloves. Originals are good too but I don't like the velcro strap thing, it always ends up coming loose and dangling.

for these type of gloves, i do like the velcro. if im wearing some buckskin gloves, i like the Wells Lamont hydrahyde slipons.

I have tried them all it seems.

Mechanix with velcro are decent.

Depending on what I am doing, I use them or the fast fit noted above.

Both are great and I buy several pairs when I find a good sale.

Pentagon, onetac, and Magpul all make a short cuffed nomes glove like the long ones posted.

Outdoor research makes several types of gloves that aren't too expensive and are more durable than the pigs. I usually buy mine off ebay for $40-50.

I use the Mechanix 0.5mm high dexterity. I like them for limiting bare skin exposure in light duty situations. I doubt they’d last more than a day or two if I used them for actual work. Sounds a lot like the Pig gloves, but at least they’re not $50!

For me it's situation and weather dependent. If it's cold out I'll throw them on, if the gun's hot from being in the sun and/or shooting I'll throw them on, if I just need some extra grip then I'll put them on. For me, having the Mechanix Fastfit gloves on at least my support hand while shooting with a sling (traditional loop fashion) helps too. That's why I always keep a pair in my bag, just never know when they'll be needed. More than once I've also balled them up and used them as a hasty rear bag.

It depends

When shooting a carbine I wear gloves mostly because the handguard gets pretty hot.

When I shoot clays I wear gloves to have a good grip with my right hand on the pistol grip and to keep my left hand from burning when opening the gun (over/under)

I don't wear them shooting bolt guns or handguns.

mechanix gloves has several versions, i got a .5 mil tactile version. great for the price. pig gloves suck. gotten more expensive and shittier.

I find the 0.5mm ones to be slippery AF. I got a pair to try a while ago as I've just been using Fastfits for years and chopping the trigger finger off. They're dexterous/tactile enough but just don't have enough grip for me. If they added some kind of grippy shit to the palm, they'd be great. I'll just stick with Fastfits as they do the job and are inexpensive which I appreciate in a consumable, haha.

So these are a little outside the box, but I had purchased these at the beginning of the riding season this year. I ended up selling the bike a few weeks ago, but didn't want the gloves to go to waste. They are superb shooting gloves. They fit like a glove (ha, ha) have that phone thingy in the fingertips (you know so you can swipe your phone), all the padding is in all the right places, and they are incredibly comfortable. Yes, they're for motorbikes, but who cares!
