Range Report Great range day with the LRP (pics added)

Finally found the right load with the 142gr SMKs. I had found that the 140gr VLDs liked 41.5gr of H4350 which gave me 2800 fps avg
The 142gr SMKs like 44.5gr of H4350 which gives me 2910 fps avg
Both loads give me one hole 5 shot groups. Due to the price of the bullets I am going to stick with the SMKs.

I am currently using Winchester 7mm-08 brass but after the problems I had with Winchester I will be switching when this is worn out.

Wish my lrp would do that. It will drill 130 bergers but not crazy about 140 or 142's. Tried your recipe today and had a nice 2 inch group!

have you checked your measurement to the lands

Coal is 2.89 for 142 and 2.94 for 140 Berger. Use Sinclair comp. 3.223 for 142 and 3.240 for 140.

I am no expert but I would seat both .010 shorter and try it there.

Works for 130 but have to go 90 on 140's to even get close to moa.

I do not know what to tell ya. I measured mine and came up with the best results at 0.020 off the lands for both Bergers and SMKs.

I am not going to waste anymore time on them. 6" 1000 yds. with 130's. Don't compete so good enough for me!
