I bought a 6.5 Grendel bolt from AR Precision, sent it off to Lothar Walther to have the barrel headspaced to the bolt.
Eventually a lug broke off the bolt. I called AR precision, and they said to return both the bolt, and the upper. They said they want to check out the barrel, barrel extension, insure that everything on the upper is concentric with the barrel's bore, and replace the bolt.
When I moaned about how expensive all that sounded, they said not to worry. They will do all the work for no expense to me. Geez, I'm just not used to getting that kind of service without a hell of a fight, or hefty check. I sort of feel like I should wake up at any moment. Anyhow, I'm really pleased with their help, and service, and really don't think I could ask for anything more.
I had expected to fight to just get a replacement bolt..that certainly wasn't the case. I have no financial connection with the company, just thought someone might want to use a company I had good luck with.
