Even as far back as the early eighties we had ten round mags. They stick way the hell out but ten beats 7. I would also say, that i've been a .45 guy mostly but it doesn't matter if you don't hit what you aim at. 9mm or .45...it doesn't matter. Six of one half dozen of the other. More rounds is better. More rounds on target faster is best. Time to aim was the advantage the 1911 held for me.1911 is better as a backup... but there are times when 30 rounds beats 7...
I still have my favorite 1911 modified GCNM. And it is so much fun to shoot and hit things with. But the MP-5SD does have its charms. Not the least of which is an ability to Swiss Cheese... so much at a time!
Of course, there is also the Welrod, which I want to start reproducing on Form 1. One of the better toys in the inventory.
Cheers,
Sirhr
Added: If we were to fast forward this conversation to ANY SMG, I would have to say the one that AMAZES me is the PS-90 shooting SS192 (?...the banned stuff). Not necessarily for the weapon, but the ammo is KILLER!
