Tax return is looking better than expected so it looks like another stamp is in my near future. The primary host will be a M&P 9mm, but this can will also see occasional use shooting supersonic 300blk out of a Handi Rifle. If I go with the Griffin it'll only be used in the "K" configuration. From what I gather the Griffin will be slightly quieter while the SilencerCo will be a bit shorter and lighter.

Suppressors Griffin Revolution 9 vs SilencerCo Omega 9K

I shoot the Griffin Armament Rev9 in both the full size and K config. I just keep it in the K because it's not noticeably louder than the full size. I've used it on a couple 9mm pistols, and on my AR9 and it sounds great on all. It does like to back off my pistol, so every mag or half mag I give it a snug. Stainless piston, stainless barrel, slippery. I put it on my AR9 and it stays put. I love all my griffin cans, but I am wanting a SiCo omega 9k as well. I'll keep the Griffon on the sbr and the omega 9k for pistols.
I suppose if you want to open it up for cleaning, that will lead you to the GA. I'm sure you'll be happy either way.

Joshua over at capitol armory claims the omega 9k is quieter, but all the tests I've seen put them within 1-2db of each other. The only advantage I can see with the 9k is the ability to rapid fire 300blk. I won't be buying till my tax return shows up, but I'm still leaning toward the Revolution 9 at this point.
Any actual reasoning behind that statement? Other than the occasional complaint about them being difficult to get a hold of, I've seen very little negative feedback on their products. Also looking at the Griffin Paladin as a 2nd .308 can.
I have a griffin revo9. It has served me great no complaints no issues. Have run it side by aside against an omega9k a buddy owns and neither of us can tell an audible difference. The omega is shorter and fatter. Can't go wrong with either. I currently have my revo9 in the K configuration and have zero complaints.
Between the 2, for what you're using them on, I'd go with the Omega 9K. Another option I would highly consider that has some flexibility would be the Dead Air Wolf 9SD.
They don't engineer, they just copy. Overall quality and performance is less than the Omega in our testing.There are just many better choices available. We have many Griffin silencers for testing, none are on par with most other major brands.
I have a tirant 45m not the 9. My Tirant 45 is quieter but also significantly bigger also the coating on all of my AAC cans suck it comes right off with the littlest of effort. The coating thing isn't an issue for me but seems cheap to me. I run the Tirant on my Mpx sbr and my revo on pistols since it is lighter and shorter than the Tirant. Also most sound too close to really matter since the ignition of the primer or movement of the bolt is loader than the shot when shooting subs.
The only suppressors I own are a SAS Reaper and a Q El Camino (still in jail). While I have heard complaints in regards to service, I've heard very little negatives in regards to build quality and sound reduction. I've watched every video silencer shop has made and the Griffin rifle and pistol cans appear very competitive to me. I'm more than likely going to be ordering a Paladin for my AR platform rifles in the next week or so. Still up in the air on the pistol can, but the Revolution is still at the top of my list.
Omega 9K. Also, consider the Dead Air Wolf. I'm including a piston and fixed barrel adapter free with the Wolf while supplies last.
Wow, the animosity is hilarious here! I have purchased 6 Griffin cans over the past 2 years. I can afford KAC or Q, but I chose Griffin based on performance at my ear in person and build material/quality.
The crap throwing BS is the same in the fishing industry. All the smaller outfits copied the other outfits, my crap is better than their crap (with no measurable reasons why), blah blah blah. Personal vendettas do not constitute a legitimate review of a product or company, in my book.
And for what it’s worth GA has always responded to my questions. I haven’t had to send anything back (I do have a couple still in jail, though). They have been overgracious on promotions when I was just outside the stated timeframe. Last but not least, if Griffin “copied” KAC on some products, at least the Griffin M4SD series of cans look/weigh/feel/sound a hell of a lot better than KAC.

No, it's not hard to avoid blatantly copying others intellectual property and to some of us like myself, integrity really, really matters. They didn't improve, they copied.
I fully support capitalism. If there were no suits over patent infringment, then it was fair game in my book. The products in question are not exact copies. This is how competition in the market works, one of the biggest components of capitalism. I’m sorry, but I just do not share your view.
There are laws and systems in place in our capitalistic country that protect against what you allege. I’ve yet to hear GA losing a lawsuit due to them. And I’d say KAC would probably be the type of company to take care of that kind of business since quite a bit of their exceptional proprietary product is patented...

Agreed. If they copied, there would be a lawsuit. IF they did indeed copy, and those they copied decided not to sue, why should I get all bent out of shape, when said company isn't even willing to defend their patent?

I own 2 GA cans: Checkmate #43(2008) and RSTA #0007(2015). My first can(5.56) was the OPS 12th model(2006). When it was time for a 5.7 can, I got the Gemtech SFN57(2016). When it was time for a can for the MPX and a future .300BLK platform, I went with the DA Wolf 9SD(pending-due approx 4/2018). I consider several factors in suppressor purchases, at least in the last 8 years or so (before that I wasn’t as present online and didn’t have the various places to look for reviews and buy from): user interface, construction method/materials, sound reduction both at muzzle and shooters ear (if that information is available), attachment method and fighting for last place are price and looks.
Not listed is Degroat Mk99 MOD0(2010). It’s okay but mostly to prevent hearing loss in the hall if I have to defend against Aliens or Bigfoot. It will be replaced by a second Wolf 9SD later.

Your comparison of KAC and Griffin are completely wrong. Tells me you've never seen a KAC silencer, or worse, you are incapable of seeing and understanding the differences, or you are simply emotional about GA bc you own them.
