GS Custom 414gn MK 2 Bullet Test

Re: GS Custom 414gn MK 2 Bullet Test

Noel, a few questions regarding your post about your 6.0 420 gr hunting bullet...
1. What is the BC?
2. What are your lead times?
3. You said it was a tack driver, do you have range reports, loads, etc??

<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Kelly,

There may be a misunderstanding here. As I told you in previous thread where "another bullet maker" was posting, you are very likely to be perfectly happy with the performance envelope of the GS375/(?)-414 grain.

I have no intention of raining upon your parade. There are very few marksman that can utilize the capability of the ZA375/6.5-M, or the ZA375/7.0-M.

My line of hunting projectiles are entirely separate, and in this case, the ZA375/6.0-W (420 grain PDT-core) is a tack driver in a 1: 8" twist. This is not an either/or proposition for you.

Best,
Noel</span></span>

Testing will resume when the 375VM rifle is completed. I have a 7.9" twist Lawton barrel inbound sometime soon. At 3000fps out of the Snipetac the bullets performed very good. Now i want to bump up the speed to at least 3200 possibly more.

Groper....everyone's been on vacation and super busy...I have not been on here for a long time as well. I have GS 414's inbound and the new GS 425 HV for my 375 snipe tac. As soon as I get them loaded up, I will take them to the range and post the results. More to come.......

Re: GS Custom 414gn MK 2 Bullet Test

Jong,
I just started to test the new 375VM rifle, it took a while to get back to the project with a lot of family issues going on in the background. I had a spare 32" 8 twist barrel to use for the initial test of the cases i had Bertram make for me. I wanted to see what the top loads were going to be and what powder. I did not do any accuracy tests as i was just loading one shot for each powder level and several differnt types.
I will start a new thread titled 375 Viersco Mag.

Your design below is interesting.
60 + 29.05 + 14.45 = 103.5mm
103.5mm / 14.5mm = 7.14
A 7.14 caliber length, spin stabilised bullet? Revolutionary!

Re: GS Custom 414gn MK 2 Bullet Test

No, I am saying it is revolutionary.

Adj. 1. revolutionary - markedly new or introducing radical change; "a revolutionary discovery"; "radical political views"
radical
new - not of long duration; having just (or relatively recently) come into being or been made or acquired or discovered; "a new law"; "new cars"; "a new comet"; "a new friend"; "a new year"; "the New World"
