ARF should have left amazon a long time ago the handwriting has been on the wall.

I host with a 2A friendly provider, so I am "slightly" shielded as I am not direct with a big corporate account, plus I have a private account I am not on shared machines except for the spill over
They would have to turn my independent provider off their platform to turn me off unless they threaten them

from what i read, GoDaddy hosted their site and has since whacked their DNS records.
I honestly think we should talk less about hosting

From what I've seen from all the way back in 2017, if the host doesn't screw you, your DDOS service will. Once you are on the uniparty's black list they will chase you across every registrar on the planet, even through countries like Russia. This ain't their first rodeo. They've been practicing on more obscure sites for a while. They will ban everything now in the name of hate speech, which as it stands, is not a legal thing in America - yet. Brandenburg v. Ohio made this very clear. Don't buy the communists crap. I hope this site stays live, but I'm not holding my breath.

In the future hosting your own servers is going to be freedom. Azure, AWS and a few others have been trying to monopolize that market like they do others. Maybe there is a way we could raise funds to help pay for this. I bet a ton of people here would be happy to chip in to cover the costs. Even make it membership based.

It seems that the Republican party enjoys being on the losing end of just about everything.

What would be the concequences of taking the site private? At least private to where you cant search or view content with a simple google search. Then lock down new memberships to relaoding or actual shooting related. Lock newbs out of even casual talk forums worst case lock down to new members?

I’m in IT also... I had one my of employees today screw with DNS to block some sites and I caught him. He about crapped when I fired his ‘woke’ ass thinking that he could do what HE wanted. He actually had the balls to try and argue with me while I had security escort him to the curb. What’s wrong with these fools??? Wtf

SPAWAR was doing 10+ years ago despite an entire agency that was stool up and is funded to the tune of 10 BILLION dollars a year to maintain defense networks (DISA) they allow them to outsource hosting to commercial enterprises. I tried to fight it at the time but the retards in power could not care less. Getting promotions and lining up contracting gigs was and is more important than national security.

And they wonder why everyone and their mother has hacked the USGOV and has every SF85/86 that was ever entered into OPM.

Yep... one of my direct reports. I’m the head of IT where I work.
How I caught him was I was streaming Newsmax in my office while I was working on some reports. When he nuked DNS with a redirect it killed my stream. He added entries to screw with Fox, Newsmax, Gab and a few others.

I have a similar perspective, as I work in the same field. I sent a message to Nunes before they brought down Parler, and reminded him of the (currently disputed) Cloud contract for the DoD. I said if they will kill the first amendment (because they are activists), what do you think they will do if there is an "unpopular conflict". What assurances do we have they won't cause a "glitch" if an unfriendly nation pays them enough. A few million dollars sprinkled around at the "tech level" would get them a lot of access. Most in the Silicon Valley workers are now H1B Visa Foreign contractors as well. The DoD is about to move their enterprise E-Mail to the Cloud in a couple of weeks. If someone claims a "contract" will prevent the cloud providers from misbehaving, then they have not paid attention to what has happened to Parler, which also had a contract.

So interesting thing I learned, at least with Godaddy, lots of their hosting isnt on amazon servers, and they will get a client back up if there are any issues, swap servers etc, the problem is where to take money on your website, apparently the second you start taking money, say for BCG tee shirts, now you open yourself up to the processing company and if they get on godaddy, that hosting outcome can change. At least that was per tech support at godaddy a few hours ago.
At this point it would not surprise me if gun forums have to move to the dark web within the year couple months to a year
Add online retailers to the this, don’t even have to ban online sales just deplatform the websites.
