6" Model 17-2
It came with the wide trigger and hammer, I never changed anything.
Normal proof marks for where i live.
The first firearm i owned and what i learned (very slowly and poorly, with no proper instruction available to me at the time) how to shoot with. I had no clue what i was buying or doing really, but in hindsight i'm very happy with the choice and think a double action (22lr) revolver is a very good tool to learn the fundamentals. In my experience i found that generally people who shoot DA revolvers well can shoot any other handgun pretty decently also, but not the other way around.
Also i wanted to become a police officer and at that time (and up until just a few years ago actually) the service weapon was a 4" S&W 686 or 620 (2.5" 66 for detectives) so i figured it makes sense to train with a revolver beforehand.
