Holy shit. Send that thing back to Wilson! There's something desperately wrong there. That has to hurt your feelings!
I did. They said the Winchester T series is too hot to shoot out of it. Should change the name of the gun from CQB to CQTHoly shit. Send that thing back to Wilson! There's something desperately wrong there.
Damn, I'd have been hot. Did they ate least fix it for you or was it totally destroyed? I'd think a pistol of that caliber would handle any production ammo out there. Hell I've got a couple of 10mm's that I shoot the hottest stuff they sell out of and they handle them beautifully and they're damn sure not Wilsons.I did.

Wow... Just wow. I owned a Wilson Combat CBQ back in the day (2000-ish) and it was flawless but things like this kind of assure I won't be revisiting the brand I guess my next Arkie built 1911 will be a Guncrafter Hellcat. This what they replied back to me. I asked if They would just give me a round count when to rebuild, springs and internals. Their reply:

I'd really love a Nighthawk 1911, but they're a bit out of my price range. I'll stick with my Dan Wessons. Haven't had a single issue out of them.Wow... Just wow. There is probably a diminishing return at some point but I really like my Nighthawks but I also like my Kimber's...I'd really love a Nighthawk 1911, but they're a bit out of my price range. I'll stick with my Dan Wessons. Haven't had a single issue out of them.
Pic is broken for me.Some of my revolvers. All S&W except one lone Ruger in the middle.

I agree. For example my Dan Wesson Specialist Commander in 9mm is more accurate than any pistol I've ever shot. It is near impossible to miss with it, and I paid $1500. I couldn't see any other pistol out there shooting better than it. Sure, they'd have way more hand fitting, craftsmanship, and time put into them, but accuracy wise I don't know how it could be improved upon. I've also never had any malfunction whatsoever out of it.There is probably a diminishing return at some point but I really like my Nighthawks but I also like my Kimber's...

No, it’s the same spring Wilson put in it after I sent it back to them the first time. Less that 200 rounds through it on that spring.Did you replace the recoil spring before shooting it?
I'm not trying to be antagonistic, I genuinely want to figure out what went wrong (since Wilson is apparently so big now that they don't care) and maybe everyone can benefit.
I agree completely. For any weapon that I may have to use to defend myself, my loved ones or even a stranger I want to know that it not being up to the task is not even a question. I want that burden to be entirely on me and my training. I'd still love a Nighthawk, maybe I'll sell three of my DW's and buy one someday ha ha ha. I also wouldn't mind a Guncrafter 1911, but those cost even more. I'm considering ordering one of their Battlecrowns and installing it on my Springfield RO Elite 10mm for a little extra weight out front.Again, dimisihing returns but this is the test target that came with my agent 2. 5 rounds of 115ge FMJ 9mm and 5 rounds of 124gr JHP 9mm. 12 yards off a bag according to them. I'll never shoot that well (I can manage a 1.37" group at 25 yards off a bag) but I'd rather be the weak link instead of the weapon!

Here are my current favorite two pistols. Targets are FBI bullseye course (25/15 yards) and shooting standard times. View attachment 7278000View attachment 7278001
Vaqueros dont have adjustable rear sights. I think it is a Blackhawk. What caliber is the Vaquero? .38 I'm assuming.
Jefe It’s a super Blackhawk 38/357 and it has a 9mm cylinder. the target there is from the 9mm cylinder shooting 115 gr bullets. Plenty accurate with 9mm and soft shooting! What caliber is the Vaquero? .38 I'm assuming.
