Evening ladies,

Got a AI AX chassis on its way to me. It has the Arca rail attached. I am currently using a Harris bipod (sling stud mount) what if any options to have this compatible? Area419 the go to?

I have an area 419 that I just started using. Its pretty nice. The arca clamp is set up to take an atlas no clamp 2 screw also for when I upgrade my bipod. I have a krg setup also. Both are pretty sweet and in my opinion better than the swivel stud mount.

I’ve got the rrs and it is very nice. The major advantage over the area 419, at least for me when I was buying, is that it interfaces with both arca and picatinny. And, the thumb screw model is only $90, which is $10 cheaper than the less feature rich area 419 adapter.

This. If they were equal alone I would go for the rrs. The fact that it works on both is just double the fun

I have had and sold a couple area419. Ones. They are tip top in my opinion. Just like everything else they make, it’s the cats peeejamamas. But when you’re about to put an extra 100$ into a Harris. I recommend a bipod upgrade. I like my atlas a whole whole bunch. Even if my gassers still run Harris’s

I have both the Area 419 and RRS (HC-Pro and BTC-Pro) clamps. The Area 419 feels more solid with the enclosed spring/collar versus the exposed spring (think ADM QD style mounts). Time will tell if I somehow manage to twist the RRS just enough to launch the spring into oblivion. The Area 419 feels like a stiffer spring too.

I do favor the RRS for the dual mounting capability.
