Has anybody purchased this 5.56 ammo from these guys?

Tagging, really interested to hear what people have to say. Almost seems to good to be true, except that they dont list if they actually have the items in stock or if you will be on back order.

I haven't seem these prices in quite a while. Makes me very curious if they actually have stock on anything listed on the website. Hopefully, they are good to go!!

I just picked up a 500 round box of the 5.56 62gr stuff. I purchased it on 10/5 and received it on 10/9 with typical shipping. The rounds came boxed 20 to a carton (not loose). The packaging was nothing super special, but it was certainly better than a container with loose rounds.

The ammo was a bit dirtier (nothing crazy) than the Lake City Ammo I've purchased in the past. There appeared to be no visual deficiencies in the brass / bullets (and they were sealed around the bullet crimp and primers).

I hope to get at least a few rounds through the AR this weekend. I can only speak to the purchase / delivery at this point. In checking the site now, it appears they're offline, which is a bit worrisome. Hopefully it's just because they're seeing more traffic!

Hope this helps at least a bit.

I'm confused. You said that it was a bit dirtier than the lake city ammo, but in the next paragraph you said that you hope to get a few rounds through the AR. You say you can only speak to the order and delivery process at this point, then how would know that it shot dirtier than Lake city????

Welcome to the hide.

This site just makes me nervous as I can't find any reviews on the web about them or this ammo. I hope it's a legit site, and just not some oversea's scam to get peoples money. Glad to hear you got your order. Please report back after rounds downrange. Thanks.

I just put 60 rounds downrange today. Zero FTF or FTE's. I wanted to shoot up 100, but I felt pretty good with my groupings / number of rounds fired to stop there. I wanted to clean the AR as well before posting a response. I think the ammo is *definitely* worth the .39/rnd! The only con to it, from my experience is it is pretty dirty. I suspected this when I received it, and have confirmed it. After only 60 rounds of this ammo, I would say it was comparable to around 150-200 rounds of the Lake City ammo.

All in all, I will be purchasing from them again. I clean my rifle after every range trip anyways, so over the course of 1k rounds, 90-100 bucks in savings is definitely worth a few more passes of the snake / cleaning rags.

Back up again. Hopefully they get their website woes taken care of. It definitely leads one to get a bit nervous when a not yet established provider of ammunition keeps blipping off the radar.

lol You jinx it.... Or maybe I keep crashing it?

Maybe! Every time I check it (right now for instance), it's up. :) I only had one instance where it was down when I checked it.

Just to be clear, my posts certainly weren't intended to sell this over Lake City. I have purchased and used both. I just wanted to inform everyone of the alternative and my opinion on it.

My two cents to be taken with a grain of salt.

Hey guys, glad to see all the chatter in this forum. We are BuyGunsandAmmo.com and you would have known us prior as buyammodirect.com. As you are all aware the buyammodirect site is not up anymore.
