I recently bought a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 from another hide member. I love the scope, no problems there. I was looking at butler creek flip ups to put on it and I started thinking about clearances. Since it has the illumination selector turret on the eyepiece, has anyone had any problems with the cap catching it while trying to adjust the eyepiece focus? Or am I just over thinking it?

Adjusting the eye piece is a one time thing. You shouldn't be turning it. You use it to get the reticle in focus. Set and forget. You adjust parallax on the side.

For as often as you will use the illumination turret, NO.

You know you can pull the Butler Creek cap off and position it anywhere you want right? I have mine so they open at the 9 o'clock position so I can see the turret clearly.
