Have you got a Picture of a Manners Stock in Molded Gap Camo?

Hi,

I'm about to press the pay button on a Manner Stock. But I'm a bit hung on the finish.

Shall I get Molded Gap Camo or Molded Woodland Camo for this tactical/hunting stock on my 700 SPS AAC Tactical?

I've written to Manner and I've written to Stocky's and neither can give me a picture of a rifle with a manners stock and molded Gap Camo?

Can anyone send me a picture of either the gap or woodland camo so I can compare?

From my research it looks like Manner and McMillan cam colors are very different and can't be compared. The nice rifle above this is certainly a McMillan stock.

I'm laughing to myself that I've been researching this stock for so long now and at this 11th hour that I'm about to buy, I'm hung up on the color!

It does make a difference though... setting all technicalities apart you have to like the way your rifle looks!

I know what you mean about the colors. But honestly I think everything Manners does looks great. I would have been just as happy with Mud or Midnight Camo like this one....






On that Midnight we coated the barreled action & M5 Blue Titanium. Looked outstanding.

The sky's the limit with buying this stuff!.. I'm already well over budget but thought that paying that extra for a manners above an HS or B&C is worth it.

I'll be ordering this one from Stocky's: Manners Remington 700 MCS T (Monte Carlo Style) ADL BDL CDL SPS VTR XCR XHR and will be getting it properly bedded. Plus I'll be getting a Stealth DBM 5 rnd. I think its best to get a no frills Manner than a lots of frills cheaper brand. My ambition is to go hunting some wild pigs... I've been on hunting forums and that's a whole learning experience in itself. But at the same time I want to be able to go down the range or out to the desert and shoot some respectable groups. Also have a fine rifle to add to my collection that will serve me if and or when the economy and everything collapses, I can put food on the table with it. (No I'm not going to be on Doomsday Preppers Reality TV show any time soon but I have added it as a small % of the requirement when selecting my rifle. So here's the requirements list:
- ENJOY SHOOTING IT!!
- Hunting
- Take it down the 300yd range and hold my head high with some respectable groups
- Put food on the table if ever I have to.

What I wont be doing is entering any 1000yd shooting competitions.

So bottom line is that I thought that this stock is fairly light, strong, and solid..

Any other advise before I click the Buy now button?

BTW I have a Burris Fullfield II 3X-9X-40mm with Burris rings and mounts

That's a fine looking rifle!

It looks like the woodland generally speaking has a lighter color due to the lack of blacks in the camo compared to the Gap.

I think we're all proud of of our rifles.. Incidentally I'm going to be replacing the Burris 3x-9x-40mm with a Nikon 6-18x40mm. I just get the feeling that the scope isn't matched to the capabilities of the rifle. I'd appreciate any comments & advise on that! I want to hunt large game with this rifle (Deer & Hogs) and am going to build a Varmint AR15 which I'll put the Burris scope on. As I said all advise is welcome.

BTW the stock is a Remington 700 MCS T (Monte Carlo Style) from Stockies. It took 4 months to arrive and then getting a GOOD glass bedding guy was a challenge but I did find one.

I'm also going to get a better bipod..
