Hunting & Fishing Head shot

Took my new Anschutz to the range today to sight in and was offered a shot that I couldn't refuse. I have been waiting for an opportunity like this for awhile.

We found the victim and it was headless but still kicking.

I'd use a little more gun next time if I were you. If you had missed a vital spot, your trophy could have escaped wounded.

Nice shot..........I also have an Anschutz, M1413, as accurate today probably as it was in '63. Fly hunting.....my favorite. If you really want some fast action, find a warm sunny day, get some rubber gloves and pint of beef livers and smear on your target.......flies will be there muy pronto. xray9

I got my first last year. Unfortunately I had to go for the center mass shot as my skills are not quite there for headshots yet. LOL

It is a blast. I've heard that bacon grease works quite well too.

Used to play at this years ago with an old gunsmith buddy of mine....Virg, may God rest your miserable soul.

Hot days, 100 yards, .22 CF's, honey spots on the target board.
